MEDICAL CAMP 2024 - CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

We are thrilled to be able to offer doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals a fantastic opportunity to volunteer with us at a two-day medical camp in Masindi, Western Uganda, on 28 and 29 October 2024.

Our first medical camp in 2023 was an incredible success. Over 1000 people received medical and dental care free of charge. After the camp, two children referred to secondary care by our team have now received heart surgery, and a 10 year old boy has received treatment for his cataracts. Many others obtained a diagnosis for the first time, and many were given prescription medication that would usually be beyond their financial means to purchase.

Volunteers can join us in repeating this incredible success, and will have the opportunity of working alongside local medical teams and experiencing Ugandan culture and medical practice.

Uganda - "the Pearl of Africa"- is a land of beautiful landscapes, incredible wildlife (including gorillas and chimpanzees) and warm, welcoming people. Participants in the medical camp will be able to wrap a wonderful holiday around their volunteering days, for an experience never to be forgotten.

Included in the experience is transport between Entebbe Airport and Masindi, accommodation for 3 nights, local meals from Sunday dinner to Wednesday breakfast, and early-morning chimpanzee tracking with a local guide.
